Scott McTominay Rescues Man United, Scores Stoppage Time Winner Vs Omonoia FC

Manchester United was close to losing their chance of winning the Europa League match against Omonoia. However, Scott McTominay scored a stoppage-time winner for the Red Devils. Manchester United was forced to rely on substitutes for the goal this week.

With 10 minutes remaining in the match, Scott McTominay replaced Casemiro as a late substitute. McTominay did not score during his appearance but was cool when it was most important. McTominay, a replacement for Jadon Sancho passed the ball to the Scottish midfielder and scored the winning goal in the 93rd minute. This allowed the team to win all three points in their Europa League match.

We were patient, got in the right places, created chances, and didn’t let the opponent come out. It was an excellent performance. The Manchester United manager felt the team should have converted any opportunities.

He stated, “One thing about football is that you must score. This game should have been three- or four-nil. We were unable to achieve our goals. We had many chances, like a handball defence, which were not effortless against a compact opponent. There was lots of movement and creativity. We missed so many opportunities, but we did not score.
